All VA medical facilities have implemented screening measures for COVID-19. This protocol will be in place until further notice. Please arrive 30 minutes early for your appointment and please come alone unless you need assistance from a direct caregiver and/or it is medically necessary. No one under the age of 18 will be permitted in any VA facility or clinic, and visitation is limited. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis.Updated: March 23. Coronavirus Information and Updates.

The Oklahoma City VA Health Care System serves eligible veterans in the greater Oklahoma City metropolitan area and the western two-thirds of the state, and two counties in north central Texas. In addition to our main medical center in Oklahoma City, we offer a number of services to our patients including community-based outpatient clinics.

Waiting Areas

For your convenience and safety, we have special waiting areas throughout the facility. Please do not gather in the hallways or at the nurses' stations. You may also want to review our Visiting Hours and Policies.

We have volunteers who work in the Intensive Care waiting areas at specific times. Please check in, and give the volunteer the patient's name. If you leave the waiting area at any time, please let the volunteer know, in case we need to contact you.

The Oklahoma City VA Health Care System has a Police Department. Our police officers provide 24-hour patrols of the facility and parking lots. For police assistance or security please call (405) 456-5560 or (405) 456-5592. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.

Because the VA Health Care System is federal property, all persons and bags are subject to search. In addition, no weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are permitted.

* In order to ensure security of the facility, several entrances are locked during non-peak hours.  Please visit the Entrance & Open Door Hours page to get detailed information.  The Emergency Room entrance is open 24/7.

A nondenominational chapel is located on the ground floor of the hospital, room GA-141. Worship Services are held on a regular basis. Please contact Chaplain Service at (405) 456-5515 or (405) 456-5516 for additional information or to speak with one of our chaplains.
