Intimate Partner Violence

Intimate Partner Violence or IPV describes physical, sexual, or psychological harm or stalking behavior by a current or former partner that occurs on a continuum of frequency and severity ranging from emotional abuse to chronic, severe battering or even death. IPV can occur in heterosexual or same sex relationships and does not require sexual intimacy or cohabitation.

The IPV Assistance Program provides safety planning, crisis assistance, advocacy, case management, counseling, group support and referral to safe community shelter for Veterans and employees who experience IPV as well as providing assessment, referral and services to Veterans who use IPV.
