Lawton Mobile Vet Center will Provide Outreach to Veterans and Dependents in Cleveland County

Background: The purpose of this event is to inform Veterans and their eligible dependents about federal benefits they may be eligible for. Mobile Vet Centers are among VA’s premier, front-line outreach resources designed to interact with Veterans in rural communities, at community events, and on special occasions. As an integral part of the Vet Center system, MVC’s offer Veterans information on topics such as individual and group readjustment counseling, military sexual trauma, marital and family counseling, VA benefits, and community education.
The Lawton Vet Center is located at 1016 SW C Ave, Suite B Lawton, OK 73501. To better serve Veterans and their families, the hours of operation are:
· Monday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
· Tuesday, 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
· Wednesday, 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
· Thursday, 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
· Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
· Saturday, 9 a.m. - 1:00p.m.
· After hours and weekends available by request.
· Services include:
· Individual, group, and family readjustment counseling to Veterans and their families in making a successful transition from combat to civilian life.
· Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) treatment and help with other related problems that affect functioning within the family, work, school, or other areas of everyday life.
· Military sexual trauma counseling for Veterans of both genders, regardless of combat experience.
