Women's Health Fair
WOMEN VETERANS: YOU ARE INVITED
You are invited to attend the Health Fair for Women Veterans at Oklahoma City VA Medical Center on Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 9-2 pm. The Fair is located in the Health Wing, ground floor on the north end of the Medical Center.
This health fair will honor the service of female veterans and we currently have about 5000 women veterans enrolled at this time. We are expecting around 300 attendees with 27 educational booths from VA as well as community agencies. Women Veterans can attend the fair at their convenience throughout the day.
Attendees will be able to have certain health screenings performed to include blood pressure, cholesterol checks, and blood sugar levels tested. Other topics include women’s preventative health care, exercise, stress management, VA benefits and claims, violence against women, MST, weight management, OEF/OIF services, anxiety and mood management, library resources, housing resources, pain management, and more.
